A pretty 19th century spa town, Saint Gervais remains traditional, and charming. The beautiful Alpine buildings in the town are enhanced by stunning floral displays in the summer and magical lights in the winter. Small supermarkets and traditional shops, cosy bars and restaurants can be found here.
The "Evasion Mont Blanc" ski area includes Saint Gervais, Megeve, Cote 2000 and Les Contamines. This vast area has 400 km of pistes. Many of the slopes are tree lined offering a varied and spectacular terrain. The pistes are generally much quieter than those found in larger resorts.
The "Tramway du Mont Blanc" passes through Saint Gervais and climbs to Nid D’Aigle at 2372 m where there is a beautiful viewpoint over the Bionnassay glacier.
Some of the highest cable cars in the Alps can be found a short drive away at Chamonix, L’Aguille du Midi and Les Grands Montets.
Summertime in Saint Gervais is perfect for long mountain walks and picnics. It is possible to swim in the town’s heated outdoor pool or at the beautiful lake at Passy. There are children's playgrounds and activities including crazy golf, tennis, skating and horse-riding. There is an adventure park nearby and summer tobogganing at Megeve and Chamonix.
